JOB TITLE: CASE MANAGER
LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV
DEPARTMENT: Investigations
POSITION REPORTS TO: President, CMA
PLACE OF WORK:
- The investigator may work at any number of locations as determined by CMA Management. However, the primary orientation and training for this position will be at the CMA office located in Las Vegas, NV.
TIME DEVOTED TO WORK:
- This
position requires full time application
and is considered to be middle management.
As such, the investigator is expected
to perform with a minimum of supervision.
However, CMA expects him/her to devote
such number of hours as is necessary
to meet noticed deadlines, required delivery
dates and time restrictions to achieve
successful completion of case load
requirements. All work shall be subject
to inspection and review to secure
satisfactory completion of such work
in accordance with CMA's overall plans,
commitments and deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare
and supervise investigative and defect analysis reports
- Coordinate
all materials such as: the report,
photographs, blueprints and other evidence
for use with expert testimony.
- Prepare
inspection schedules and detailed Scope
of Work for inspections
- Interpret
and apply pertinent state and local
laws, codes and regulations.
- Determine
whether construction systems conform
to code requirements
- Apply
knowledge to detect deviations from
plans.
- Researching
defects by utilizing code references,
manufacturers recommendations, city records and Internet research
of building systems.
- Review
investigator reports, matrices and
documentation.
- Act as
lead expert witness in depositions
and at trials.
- Provide
site presentations and attend, as case
manager, project settlement conferences.
- Represent
the company at client meetings.
- Address
questions and concerns from client.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS and/or MS in Engineering or Architecture with 7 to 15 years experience in the construction field, and/or 2 to 10 years experience in Construction Litigation/Claims, and/or Licensed Architect or Engineer with 7 to 15 years experience in Construction/Engineering Field. ICBO Certification required.
